Checkout Options

Extra ways to steer Cash on Delivery right at checkout, before an order is even placed.

What does the Checkout Banner do?

FreePro

The Checkout Banner shows COD customers the same kind of discount to switch to prepaid right at checkout, before the order is even placed. Accepting it applies the discount automatically, uses zero WhatsApp quota, and skips risk scoring entirely, since the order never becomes COD in the first place.

  • Only shows up when a customer has selected Cash on Delivery.
  • Accepting it applies the discount automatically — no code to type in.
  • Orders converted this way skip the WhatsApp nudge, since they never placed a COD order to begin with.

Why it's worth turning on: Converting at checkout is cheaper than converting after the fact — it uses zero WhatsApp quota and skips risk scoring entirely.

What is Partial COD?

Pro

Partial COD lets a customer pay a percentage of the order online at checkout and the rest in cash on delivery. You set the advance percentage; it then appears as one of the payment options at checkout, alongside Full Payment, Plain COD, and COD with Fee.

SettingWhat it does
Advance percentageHow much of the order value is collected online upfront

For example. Advance percentage is set to 30%. A ₹2,000 order requires a ₹600 payment at checkout, with the remaining ₹1,400 collected as cash on delivery.

What is the COD Fee?

Pro

COD Fee adds a small fixed charge, which you set, to orders paid by Cash on Delivery — shown as its own checkout line item and tracked separately for delivered versus returned orders in your reports.

SettingWhat it does
Fee amountFixed ₹ charge added to COD orders

Why it's worth turning on: Even a small fee (₹20–₹50) nudges price-sensitive customers toward the Checkout Banner prepaid offer, while offsetting some cost on the COD orders that go through anyway.

What does OTP Verification do?

Pro

OTP Verification requires a customer to confirm their WhatsApp number with a one-time code before a Cash on Delivery order is confirmed, and the order can't proceed until it's verified. Each code sent is a WhatsApp message and counts against your Message Quota.

  • The code is sent via WhatsApp at checkout.
  • The order can't be confirmed until it's verified.
  • Your verification rate is tracked per shop, in your reports.

Good to know: Each code sent is a WhatsApp message and counts against your Message Quota, same as a nudge or reminder.
